Yellow, red, green and blue: there you are.

Four beautifully decorated colourful rooms, original down to the detail.

Four colours to match your holiday and your mood, to playfully discover the influence colours have on leisure: yellow is for energy, red for passion and green goes well with the garden that embraces La Casa di Alice. And then there is blue, if you like sleeping with your windows wide open under a deep blue starry sky.

Choose the colour that suits you best! All rooms have a spacious, brightly decorated en-suite ad are located upstairs. And if you don’t feel like going out you can hang out in the large "L" shaped lounge downstairs where you can read a book, a magazine, or play billiard, and then in the morning come down into the kitchen for a hearty breakfast served on the big table overlooking the garden and pool. (Finally, you will find out why our muffins are so delicious, but for now it remains a secret).

Yellow Room

Have a wonderful holiday full of energy

Once it was a stable. This is the only room downstairs so if you can't wait to dive into the pool or lounge on your comfy deck chair, here you are in pole position to get there first! The room opens up onto the garden both on the south and west side, as you can tell when in the evening the fresh yellow tones of the room turn to the warm orange glow of sunset. The air in the Yellow Room is filled with the soothing scent of the Lavender and Rosemary bushes that line the lawn, just outside. If you are lively energetic people you will love this: the walls boast the colours of Kandinsky, Gauguin and the master of yellow, Vincent Van Gogh, complemented by a table lamp by Artemide matched with two ironic Miss Sissy lamps designed by Philippe Starck. If you want to indulge yourself in philosophy, the two stylish yellow armchairs are just perfect to contemplate the precious value of leisure and idleness.

Red Room

Bonjour Matisse!

Besides being the name of a celebrated painting by Henri Matisse, (we boldly hung up a printed copy on the wall), the Red Room is the largest available at La Casa di Alice. Comfortable for you and your children, and luxuriously spacious if you are alone or with your partner. As the other rooms, it was converted from the old barn, allowing us to create an ample living area in the room, where two extra beds can be added. And as red is the colour of passion, it is with great passion that we have designed it: From the "Bookworm", the sinuous bookshelf designed by Ron Arad manufactured by Kartell to many other inspiring details you will discover on your own. Snuggle up on the sofa with a good book, the perfect getaway for peace and quiet (even when the air conditioner is on!).

Green Room

Total Relaxation

The "La Tristesse du roi" is a must-have-painting for the Green Room. Contrary to its title the painting is very lively and blends in perfectly making its many colours vibrate like music on the most relaxing colour possible. Colourful paper collages applied on canvas by the master of Fauvism who, with the freedom of a child, upset the classical concept of painting which still prevailing in the mid-20th century. From the balcony you have a pleasant view over the garden and the lush green foliage just outside. The high ceilings crossed by old wooden beams add depth and visual space to the room. An overall fresh feeling will be enhanced by the nice cool drizzle of the "super large" shower unit, a perfect treatment to regenerate and invigorate body and mood!

Blue Room

Iris and a balcony

"Tender is the night", wrote Francis Scott Fitzgerald. And in this room the night is indeed tender, exactly because we followed the inspiration of the velvety blue of night sky.  The balcony overlooks the garden but nevertheless is in a secluded position offering that perfect touch of privacy. Blue is thought to be the colour of intellect and wisdom: try imagine yourself comfortably lying on the bed admiring the irises by Van Gogh. They are there to remind us that if it is true that culture can be found inside libraries, nature is outside waiting to be discovered. A sleek green couch echoes the stunning, fresh, verdant nature that surrounds us. We chose it because we believe in locally sourced design elements and furnishings.
